ALL.NOTES As your phone goes everywhere with you, it makes sense to use it as a note-taking tool while you’re out and about. All.Notes offers some useful features that raise it a level above the standard pen and paper approach (and indeed the iPhone’s own built-in Notes application). As well as plain text notes, you can create entries with locations, photos or files attached, and there’s also an integrated tagging system for keeping your lists organised. Use it as an off -the-cuff diary, a to-do list maker or a reminders system; it’s largely up to you. There is the option to create separate notebooks, so All.Notes can fulfill all of these purposes at once if necessary.
There’s not much else to say about the app, but that in itself is a positive: All.Notes aims for simple elegance rather than stacks of features, and for the most part it hits the target. The layout and finish of the app isn’t particularly exciting, but it’s stylish enough. You also have the option of installing the companion Mac app if you want desktop access to your notes as well. Polished apps like Vesper and Day One probably still have the edge when it comes to iOS/Mac OS note-taking, but All.Notes is definitely a worthy contender that has plenty to off er, and it’s easy to set up and use. Offers an appealing interface plus tagging and syncing, but it’s up against some stiff competition. iPhone | iOS 7.0 | £1.99/$2.99 | v1.0
